About us

Deformup is a design studio based in Wallonia, Belgium.
In our workshop, set in a beautifully repurposed old train station, we’re on a mission to give new life to materials that were once destined for the dump or the energy-consuming recycling process.
Upcycling isn’t just what we do—it’s our entire mindset, driving us to reinvent before we ever think of inventing something new.
Instead of dreaming up new products from scratch, we take what’s been discarded and creatively transform it. We reimagine, reshape, and upcycle objects that were once forgotten, turning them into decor pieces with a story to tell.
But Deformup isn’t just about crafting beautiful objects—it’s a vibrant, collaborative space buzzing with ideas. We love working with talented designers and creators, exploring new ways to rework materials and spark innovation. Beyond our artisanal know-how, it’s the magic of human connection, the excitement of creative exchanges, and the joy of shared projects that keep our studio alive and brimming with inspiration. Together with our amazing partners, we close the loop and celebrate every reinvention with a playful spirit and boundless creativity.

Craftmanship

We collect discarded bottled from bars and restaurants in Belgium and transform them through a meticulous cold-processing process in our studio.

Deformup products are all handcrafted using various techniques such as sandblasting, fusing or painting to enhance the design and give them a new life.

collaboration

We believe that the most extraordinary ideas are born when minds come together to innovate and inspire. Our studio thrives on partnerships with talented designers, artists, and makers who share our passion for pushing the boundaries of upcycled design.

We regularly join forces with creators to experiment with new materials, develop exclusive collections, and explore fresh techniques. From working with local artisans who bring their expertise in craftsmanship to collaborating with contemporary artists who offer unique perspectives, each partnership enriches our creative process and brings new dimensions to our work.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Upcycling glass eliminates the need for high-temperature melting, significantly reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Cold-processing techniques can reduce energy usage by up to 60% compared to traditional glass manufacturing.

Our Glasses are also 100% recyclable without any loss of quality.

Upcycling keeps these materials in circulation, extending their lifecycle and preventing waste. By reimagining discarded bottles into sophisticated decor pieces, Deformup not only reduces landfill waste but also lowers the demand for newly produced glass, supporting a more sustainable and circular economy.
